I am observing how Uranus now being in the sign of Aries is really super charging the influences of the cards each day. The Sun is moving through the constellation of Aries through the 19th of April, along with Uranus (who will be there for the next 7 years), and it appears that there is an increased potency of the influential energies of the cards each day. April by name is the 4 of Diamonds. We are now in the fourth month, which is ruled by the numeric value of 4, and this makes this month a very good time to build. Building new foundations that stand firmly upon higher values is the key to success. Integrity is king!

Today, the 7 of Spades requests that we reflect and contemplate. It's a mystical day that suggests that we take our cues from the things that inspire us to take action.

Obstacles will come only when we act without forethought. If obstacles appear - take a step back, reassess and realign.

March 31 - Restless and Wild

There will be significant change in the energy throughout the day. Interruptions, changes in plans, disrupted travel are just a few examples of what this day can be like.

Dear Ms. Taylor, you were the Grand Dame of our time. You gifted us with your passion for life, your commitment to excellence in your self-expression, and your vision for humanity. Your brilliant personality was so refreshing and raw with authenticity. I am so grateful for the hours that I had the privilege to share with you on this planet, and for the creative treasures that you graced all of us with through your acting. Bless you for being, and bless you in your continued journey. Sharon Jeffers

I remember the first time I saw National Velvet. I felt as though I knew Elizabeth Taylor personally. There was something about her, her presence, and her articulate acting ability, and her welcoming appearance that struck a familiar cord in my heart. As a girl, I wished that I could meet her. That wish came true many decades later, when I least expected it, and probably had forgotten about it, until it actually happened.

I had the great good pleasure to meet the grand dame, and to spend time with her in her home. It was delightful, and when she called me a “smart ass”, I knew in that moment that she liked me, and I was right at home. I was impressed with how she put her intelligence into action when I would share something with her, she would take it to the next level. She was brilliant. That connection that I felt when I was a child watching her on the TV, it was real and right there, and when she called me a “smart ass” because of something I said, I knew in that moment that she liked me and I felt right at home.

My heart filled with delight as we interacted and carried on with what we were doing. I don’t know if I’ve ever met a more authentic individual in my life, before or since. She said exactly what she thought when she was thinking it, I could see in her eyes that her mind was lightning quick, and she had a great sense of humor. Her dedication to her work with AIDS was also more than impressive. It seemed that everything she did was filled with that passion she had for life, and her commitment to what was right before her.

When I heard of her death two days ago, I knew that she had just had her birthday. Knowing that she was born on February 27, and that she had passed on March 23, I couldn’t help but wonder what was going on in her cards. 7 weeks in the hospital means that she was admitted when she was in her 52-day. That can be a very spiritual time, and it most certainly has governance over death. That 52-days is a time for reflection.

Being born on February 27 gave Ms. Taylor a Jack of Clubs – 4 of Diamonds birthday.

I looked at her cards today. When I do this, I do it with great respect for those who have passed, and those who remain. I know what it’s like to lose a loved one, and I have great sensitivity for that. Most of the time I don’t write about these things, I just look at them to see what is there in the cards. Sensationalizing death is a no-no in my book. However, because I have a personal connection with Ms. Taylor, I’m writing as someone who got to meet and know her a bit – enough to embrace her grandness of life and her passion for living.

She had the death card at age 78, in Saturn. Saturn is our teacher, and the death card (9 of Spades) is the card of initiation.

She didn’t die until almost one month after her birthday. The 9 of Spades had now moved to determine and express the way she would leave, rather than the actual happening of dying. What I mean by that is, her death became a spiritual journey in the last few weeks – she went through a deep transformation within before she departed this world, and her outcome card for the final release was the King of Hearts – the safe harbor of love, the master of love and the supreme consciousness of the Heart.

All of this told me that she did all her work here before leaving her body. She understood so clearly her love for all she knew, and how great the love was that the world had for her.

It was certainly not a surprise to see these things in her cards, and it leaves me with tears in my eyes as I finish writing this. Our lives are so precious. Each one is grand and great. Each one of us is touch the world with who we are every moment, every day.

The moon, as most of you probably know, is the closest to the Earth today that it's been in 19 years. This 4 of Diamonds day, with its natural affinity to the Moon through Neptune, is a perfect day for opening our conscious awareness to allow greater perspectives to drop on in.

This is a power-packed day that supports new ideas, communication, the building of new foundations, and great self-awareness. Being in the spotlight is favored, and people are likely going to want to listen to one another today.

It's a great day to get things done - so be productive and have fun!

I had an interesting dream last night, it was about choice. It began with a friend wanting my support in her making a choice that sounded like it might be a bad idea. She had already made up her mind, and begged me to support her. Even though it didn't feel right to me, I did. Something I don't often do. Bad decision. In the dream, it was my life that ended up being turned upside down. I woke up wondering. I don't usually have dreams, and not like this one ever. Then I thought about the cards for the day.

The 5 of Diamonds seeks to know the truth; the deeper aspects and meanings of things. This particular day is often a day when we're asked to make choices, and those requests can come from something that we personally realize in a moment. Sometimes uncertainty or confusion can overcome us in the process. Interesting.

So, my personal recipe for the day is to pay close attention to the thoughts and feelings I am having relative to who I'm with, and what's going on, and with whatever it is I am engaged in. Values and life can change quickly today. Self-awareness and flexibility with attitude is key. 

March 17 - 6 of Diamonds

Word for the day: responsibility. If there is an area of life where you are slacking in your responsibility, this is a great day to bring that into balance. The Six of Diamond's asks us to take action that is in alignment with our greatest values and highest integrity - whatever or however that may be.

Perception is exalted by the Queen of Diamonds, as is intuition. Take care not to judge, and if others don't meet your expectations - perhaps you might want to lower them.

The mental expressions of the cards today will be quick, precise, and discerning. Best to put these characteristics to their best uses. Follow what you know is true for you, avoid compromising yourself, and listen carefully to your intuition.

Hang on tightly and let go quickly - words of wisdom for the day. Mental attitudes can be very strong today - for better or worse - it will be our choice, moment by moment how we dance with the energy of this day. If things aren't going your way - let go. Observe. Breathe. Smile :)

It could be that life will try to pry things from our grip. By "things", I'm referring to attachments that no longer serve us. If this occurs for you - be gracious, kind, and wise.

On another note in the harmony of things, this day is filled with highly creative energy - tremendous perceptual gifts, and the natural ability to think outside the box. Outside the box is probably a good place to hang out today.

Creative financial ventures can come out of nowhere - grab them, and enjoy the dance.

It is a 4 of Diamonds Day

Pay attention to your intuitive hits today, as they could pay off big time. Trust your creative inspiration if it comes to lead you - take a chance.

It's a very great day to establish new financial foundations, or to build upon existing ones.

Creative expression is important - uncertainty is a sign that action must be taken - if you're not clear how to proceed, do something out of the ordinary (meaning out of your routine) to move your energy. Movement will lead to change, change will pave the way for new action, action will cause a result.

Building new foundations for home, family, relationships, or business is highly favored. Procrastination will not do today. This is a day to move with your thoughts. Not tomorrow - today!

Success is birthed from happiness, not the other way around. Happiness can be found in a moment - it's there when we look for it.  

Today is a day of beauty and refinement.  

There are lessons to be learned via our relationships, and love is most definitely wearing the crown.  

If challenged in communication, ask yourself - "Do I want to be loved, or do I want to be right?"

I call the Nine of Diamonds the card of "the one who gives", and this is for sure a great day to step up to the plate in some way to give to others with the intention of enhancing their life in some way. Be generous with your self, your time, or your money.

Communication and networking are highlighted, and partnerships are favored. Refinement of direction might be called for.

Eccentricity is filling the air, so conversations could be interesting.

Take care with money today, it's an day when it can easily find its way out of your hands.

This is a day of fortunate blessings, so be open and receptive to whatever life might want to give to you, and - be responsive if you see the opportunity to give to someone else.
